I noticed that you offered some of your diaper cakes with charity donations around the holidays. What are you favorites?

Great question!  We actually have quite a few organizations near and dear to our hearts. The top of my list is an organization founded by my favorite actress, Law & Order: SVU's Mariska Hargitay. It is called The Joyful Heart Foundation and promotes healing for survivors of sexual assault through interaction with dolphins in the wild. We also support The Susan G. Komen Foundation and Toys For Tots offering special Kel's BabyCakes each October and December, respectively, with donations from every specialty diaper cake sold going to those organizations. In addition, we became Partners In Hope with St. Jude's Childrens Hospital after Donna and I spent a few life-altering hours answering telephones at the Kicks 101.5 Radio-A-Thon back in January.
 
Do you ever donate your diaper cakes to worthy causes?

Yes, we do. We regularly donate Kel's BabyCakes diaper cakes to the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life and The Cobb County Humane Society's yearly fundraising auctions. Last month, we donated the 3 Tier Wisteria Blooming Babies diaper cake to an auction raising funds for an orphanage in Russia. In a silent auction, it garnered $150 to help purchase a hot water heater for the orphanage.

If I represented an organization, how would I go about getting one of your diaper cakes for an auction?

We would need a request in writing on foundation letterhead mailed to us at least 6 weeks prior to the event. We are constantly solicited for donations, so we are no longer able to take telephone requests. Thanks for asking!

Do you still exhibit at Babies R Us? Where could I go to see you?

Yes, we still do exhibits at Babies R Us. Currently, we go back and forth between the Kennesaw and Douglasville, Georgia locations. We did venture out to the Newnan Babies R Us in March and we may try to do that again this summer. Babies R Us holds their monthly "Baby Fest" on the second Saturday each month from 11 am to 3 pm where different vendors set up tables to show off their products or services. We have met some amazing people, gotten some incredible feedback and been introduced to some wonderful services ranging from childbirth classes to bronze handprinting (and paw prints for our 4 legged children!) services.
